Paseo de Gracia

A showcase of Barcelona's bourgeoisie at the end of the 19th century, this elegant and stately avenue links Plaça Catalunya with the district of Gràcia, hence its name. The presence of the best modernist buildings in Barcelona make this avenue a real open-air museum.

THE GOTHIC QUARTER OF BARCELONA

We are in the Pla de la Seu, that is, at the foot of the Gothic Cathedral of Barcelona whose facade was completed in the nineteenth century although its construction was carried out between the thirteenth and fifteenth centuries.

We can visit the Cathedral and the cloister and contemplate its grandeur. If we visit Barcelona for Corpus Christi we can see dancing "l'ou com balla" in the cloister, a tradition rooted in the city and especially on that date.

We continue our walk along the Carrer del Bisbe which is the side of the Cathedral to go to the Plaza Sant Jaume where the City Council and the Generalitat have their headquarters and from there we will go to the Born district.
